I can't imagine they'd be horribly upset. Anyway, I'm the one running
(actually, about to run) the BR PBEM game.

Not to my knowledge - there were some beginnings of the group, but it
fairly died when the traveller PBEM transfered control to Mike and Mark -
they were the primary instigators of TDR to my knowledge.

Hi there,

Is anyone running/planing to run a TNE PBEM game? (Or any Traveller
PBEM Game at all)?

I am intersted in playing in ANY Traveller Game Avail. Be it
Mega/Classic/2300AD/TNE... The current TML PBEM is quiet for a long time
now.. Let me know if any are available..

Thanks,

Hi,
I'm forwarding a message from r.g.d about verious animal movement
rates. Hope it's helpful for someone on the list.

My original request for movement rates got me >lots< of stuff on humans and
horses (thank you), and also a few comments on oxen, but nothing on the
various other animals. So here's what I found in the library:

        MOVEMENT RATES OF VARIOUS ANIMALS

I dug this up in the library. The numbers are probably inaccurate, since it is
hard to clock a wild animal (they don't always want to cooperate). The figures
are in kilometers per hour.

MAMMALS

Moose ("Elg") 56 short distances only
Reindeer 51 short distances only
Deer 40-67 average-max
Horse 60 short distances
Cheetah 96-100 short distances only

Hi, beeen lurking for awhile. And in the process of setting up a
new game I ran across a couple of things I need to figure out.

One: Traffic density, i.e. precollapse trafic. The scope of the game
is to include the recovery of crashed ships, and the refurbishment there
of. Also the building up of a new starport to construct new hulls.

Two: How much time it takes to build a new ship? I am doing a kitbash
of classic Trav and MT, and a liberal dose of my own. It breaks down as
A week per 10 ton chunk of base hull (i.e. ten weeks for the base hull
of a 100 ton scout.) A week for controls, a week for life suport.
Where this breaks down is in the installation of sensors, drives, and
what not. Note airlocks are considered as part of the base hull.

In other things Mr. Kelleher, Mr. Kundert forget to mention the former
Captain who was commited to a Gaa-Gaa Academy, it seemed the right thing
to do. Or the ship's docter who was only a step ahead of his ex-wife and
her goose-steping atourneys. And also had a profound delight of tranking
other crew members with his pocket tranqcan. (this was fun,you should
have seen their faces the first few times)
There is the tone was set for this campaign on the very first set of
runs we had to deliver some vips, But most of the play was spent in a
prank war that very quickly got out of hand.

In other things Jim..Jim, Doc Wang was last seen shiping out on a
Vargr Trader The SS Unpronoucable headed somewhere into Vargr space.

Casinos, my secret mountain hideout has casinos, who planned this
OOPS, I did.
More latters,
Evyn

Despite messages here stating its reappearance, I have been unable to ftp
the old TML archive. Has it moved? Its IP address change?

Whose speed was much faster, much faster than Light.
She departed one day in a relative way,
And returned on the previous Night.
